How to Achieve Success Beyond Your Dreams
How Does Someone Accomplish So Much in So Little Time?
The Deb Lindsay Story – How She did it and how you can too!
In only 18 short months, Deb Lindsay has gone from not even knowing what a high speed engraver was to an accomplished gun stock carver. Deb has guns with her touch on them throughout various parts of the world and (did I mention this already?) in only 18 months!
Join us for a free webinar Wednesday, August 18, 2010 when Deb will share with us how she has accomplished many of her goals in such a short time. The webinar will start at 7:00 p.m. Mountain Time.
Deb’s going to take us from the time she first ran into Profitable Hobbies to where she is now – A Fantastic Wood Carver – with her cross-hairs resting directly on the Custom Gun Stock Carving Market.
There will be some very happy gun owners in the future because of Deb.
(There is a link on the registration page that will show you the webinar time in your time zone)

48 minutes – Start to Finish – Can you believe it?
“I Should Have Paid More Attention in Anatomy Class.”
If you joined us for Jeff Wolf’s Relief Sculpting Webinar last night, you are probably thinking the same thing.
Did you see how the “pieces” just fell into place to form a perfect whitetail deer? (Yes, the picture to the left is the one!)
If you missed the Webinar, The RECORDING IS NOW IN THE I&E NETWORK FOR YOU TO VIEW.
If you are one of the lucky ones (maybe the ONE) that actually paid attention in anatomy class, you are certainly way ahead of most of us.
It is nothing short of amazing (to most of us) how Jeff can mold and sculpt a perfect deer scene from clay – IN MINUTES!
48 minutes – Start to Finish – Can you believe it?
Jeff doesn’t think it is any big deal. “When you know the anatomy, it is all the same – you just put the puzzle pieces together.”
Watch the recorded webinar here.
By sculpting in clay first, Jeff can get the scene just right, working out all the minor details – changing this and changing that – until the scene is perfect. Once the scene is perfected, now Jeff has a perfect model to follow when he begins to carve (unless he decides to cast the sculpture in bronze or another medium.)
Lynn Miller – Wood Carving Artist
Lynn Miller – Custom Wood Carving and Gun Stock Carving Artist – Lynn Miller
Lynn Miller is just starting out in his new adventure of gun stock carving and wood carving.
He has put his engraving career on the fast track by taking Gun Stock Carving Classes from Joe Cummings.
Because of his training and his dedication to learning, Lynn is already way ahead of a lot of wood carvers – and he is just getting started!
The video below will show you some of Lynn’s projects – in fact – it will probably show you all of his carvings.
Like I said, Lynn is just getting started but when you see what he is doing, you might not believe me.
Lynn is the type of person that jumps in with both feet and takes things serious.
(You will see what I mean by viewing the video below to see Lynn’s wood carvings.) It’s hard to believe that he is new at this!
Keep up the good work Lynn, we are looking forward to seeing many great things from you in the future.
Custom Wood Carving by Joe Cummings
Custom Wood Carving and Gun Stock Carving by Joe Cummings
Joe Cummings specializes in carving and engraving custom gun stocks, fireplace mantles, attache cases, pistol grips and much more.
He has mastered the fishscale and basketweave patterns and even teaches others how to do the same with his training classes and training dvd’s.
Joe went from beginner engraver all the way to Master Engraver in Dr. Lew’s master program – quicker than anyone in history.
Most people don’t know this, but I am going to give away one of Joe’s little secrets – he spent years as a taxidermist in the past. Now you can see why his animal carvings are so realistic!
Joe is truly a perfectionist in everything he does and a fun person to be around.
Watch the Video below to see some of Joe’s Amazing Wood Carvings.
Gun Stock Carving – Basketweave Pattern
Mastering The Basketweave Gun Stock Carving Pattern
The basketweave pattern has quickly become a favorite amongst gun stock carvers. Joe Cummings is a master gun stock carver that specializes in replacing the factory checkering on a gun stock with the basketweave (or fishscale) pattern. This is a very nice way to turn an ordinary gun stock into a one-of-a-kind original piece of art. We’re talking about a gun that will be cherished and admired by all and a gun that your children will surely fight over one day!
And believe it or not – YOU CAN DO THIS type of gun stock carving, with no artistic ability!
We’ve been giving away free patterns for a while now – patterns for gun stock carving, wood carving, glass engraving and more….
However……. today we are raising the bar.
Today, we are going to give you the entire presentation on Mastering the Basketweave Pattern – Gun Stock Carving.
The entire, one hour (approx.) presentation that Joe Cummings presented to The I&E Network last night. Step by step from start to finish – Joe walks you through the steps he takes, the burs he uses, and even the finishing process.
Thanks to Joe for sharing so generously with our network.

Leaf Carving Patterns
Leaf Carving Patterns from Profitable Hobbies
Sometimes people will look at a particular wood carving – and although they respect the amount of work involved – they might not care for the design itself. For example, I don’t like Coyotes. I have seen some wonderful wood carvings and engravings of coyotes on gun stocks. I look at the carvings, and say to myself, “Nice work, but I would never (EVER!) want a coyote engraved on my gun!”
Now this is a personal preference – if you are a coyote lover, sorry.
But…..I have never (EVER!) met anyone that didn’t like leaves. Leaves go good on anything – cabinet doors, gun stocks, jewelry boxes, jewelry, etc.
The free patterns below will give you something to practice on – if you can master leaf carving – you can definitely carve something people like.
