This is a great little dust collector. I bought this exact unit over 2.5 years ago when I started carving. I use it all the time. It is bulletproof – works perfect.

One thing to know – make sure you use the 2 in. thick filters that are designed for this unit – they last a long time. I tried to use the 1 inch thick units you may find in grocery stores and home depots and they did not fit. Even though they said thay were the correct size. They also clogged up very quickly. There is no $$$ savings by useing the cheap filters.

Do I still need to wear a mask once I have my dust collection box installed? An optivisor is essential however the mask I am not sure of. How often are filters changed. I plan on working 8 hours a day engraving eggs.
