Money Making Ideas for Engraving / Sandblasting

Money Making Ideas for  Engraving / Sandblasting

Carole Edwards has been helping Profitable Hobbies customers with every aspect of their engraving / sandblasting business for well over 25 years.

She has prepared some ideas to share with everyone about how to make money with engraving and sandblasting.

There is also a video below that will introduce even more ideas from Carole – actual projects that she has completed for her clients.

From the Desk of Carole Edwards:

People are always asking me, “How do I make money with my Micro Sandblaster and Engraving System?”

I tell them to start by pulling out the phone book and begin writing down every business that would benefit from what you do.

Let me give you a partial list just to get you started thinking:

(and don’t forget to watch the video below!)

High schools: awards for sports, sterling scholars, dance or debate teams, music competitions, fund raisers.

PTA awards to the outstanding students, teachers, club fund raisers. (Too many to list)!

Jr. Colleges and Universities: Outstanding students, thank you’s to alumni and others who donate $$, Thanks yous to distinguished visitors for performing their special programs, etc. Fund raisers. There are so many clubs, performing groups who travel around the world, Even scientific achievements. Outstanding leaders, achievers, etc.

Real Estate offices: Thanks for buying a home, outstanding saleman (or woman), Thank yous for Christmas, etc.

Bars, lounges, restaurants, hotels: personalized glassware, barware, Refillable beer mugs for repeat customers, Thank yous for customers, vendors, and or employees.

Wedding Chapels and suppliers: The bride and groom are always looking for something unique, whether it’s the glasses

that hold up different layers of their wedding cake, the gifts for the wedding group, or even a special sweetheart

basket with special toasting flutes and a favorite bottled beverage. Also loaded with all the things to help the

couple ease into married life.

Now lets talk about we humans:

What holidays are we involved in?

Birth, birthdays, seasonal holidays, graduation from schools at various stages, Weddings, Anniversaries, Special holidays or achievements, (I once carved a gold locket for a child’s baptism).

Sports: little league football, softball, baseball, soccer; tennis, running, volleyball, golfing awards, fishing, auto racing, (auto club awards)

Personalized equipment: (anti-theft) golf clubs, baseball bats, (make good awards too!), tennis rackets, automobiles (5% off auto insurance with engraved windows!)

Guns,  gun stocks, knives, Hunting and camping equipment, boat paddles, hiking sticks and walking sticks, canes. Summer Cabins (I put pine trees on the inside of the cabin)!

Computers and office equipment! (I once even engraved names on a complete tool box!) outstanding Accomplishments (Mother of the year, top real estate agent, etc), scouting, 4-H, Civic clubs with fund raisers.

I’ve engraved wedding knives and servers, and chef’s cutlery sets. Medical tools such as the stethoscope that get lost! (my nurse daughter!)

Artistic things for decoration and amusement! And there are always people who collect everything under the sun. (one of my customers is always looking for some new piece of crystal).

Local Holidays! Strawberry Days, Pioneer Days, Rose Festival. You name it they happen all summer long!

People like souvenirs and mementos to remember trips they took, special events they shared. Tourist places are always looking for something new to offer their customers!

And once you’ve given thought to all that…

We need to talk about the final phase of life, Death.

How better to remember someone than their favorite picture and the highlights of their life, to help us always remember how special they are to each and every member of the family.

Heck you can even Sandblast and carve a cemetery marker for humans, or even our dear little “fido” or “puss ‘n boots!”

I hope the ideas will give you a start on your own ideas for making money or doing special things for those around you.

One thing we humans always seem to like, something unique and special, one of a kind that aren’t duplicated a thousand at once!

Oh my!! Finally, I get to see the person behind the wonderful voice I hear when I’ve called with all sorts of questions. Always, Carole, you have been the most consistently helpful, patient and enthusiastic voice of Profitable Hobbies. The sandblasting equipment I don’t have and never thought I could use, however, you make it look interesting, fun and profitable. Such good ideas for sales items and such fine workmanship. What a delight to see the video and think about the possibilities. Thank you so much. I’m sure we’ll be talking again soon.
